Shalom is a 5 star luxurious cottage on a croft in an elevated position above the coastal village of Strond in South Harris. Shalom Cottage accommodates up to six guests with a special emphasis on welcoming children. One family dog welcome.
All these Islands are in the Sound of Harris and will be seen from the cottage - Islands in the Sound - Pabbay, Killegray, Lingay, Dunarin, Gillesay, Ensay, Langay, Uists, Berneray, Skye.

Shalom Cottage boasts superb panoramic views South East to the Isle of Skye across the Sound of Harris, Uists, Berneray and to where the sun sets in the West over numerous other Hebridean Islands. Leverburgh, the main village in South Harris is 2 half miles from Strond. Leverburgh is an ideal base for touring North, Tarbert is 26 miles away and a further 37 miles will take you to the main town of Stronoway. From Leverburgh the ferry MV Loch Portain winding its way through the Sound of Harris will take you to Uist where you can then explore the Southern Isles.
The Island of Harris has a lot to offer for both couples wishing for a quiet romantic break or families searching for a relaxing escape from the rush of everyday family life.
The world famous Harris Tweed can still be seen here woven by local weavers.
The West side of Harris has miles of golden sandy beaches whereas the East side is more of a lunar landscape, winding roads through little fishing villages.
